For my Mum in a million

A rose once grew
where all could see,
sheltered beside
a garden wall,
And as the days passed
swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall...

One day, a beam of light
shone through
a crevice that had
opened wide ~
The rose bent gently
toward its warmth
then passed beyond
to the other side

Now, you who deeply
feel its loss,
be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~
its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by
God's own loving care.

poem for mum

God looked into his garden
and saw an empty space
he looked down on earth
and saw mum's tired old face

Her soul lifted through the skies
as close ones were saying there goodbyes
our love and wishes will stay with you
each and every day through and through

We all hope you are happy where you have gone
now you can laugh, dance have all kinds of fun
see and greet old faces that have gone before
you will be kept busy of that we can be sure

It has broke our hearts to lose you
but you did not go alone
for part of us went with you
the day god called you home

With all my love Maz xxxxxxx
